ULTIMATIVE Guide for Perfect Instagram Theme
Hi guys, for today I prepared a ultimative guide for you to have a perfect, themed, Instagram profile. Having a nice, interesting feed is very important if you want to gain more followers and engagements. The reason for this is simply - a first impression. When someone goes to your profile for the first time, he will see your photos in a grid view, and if that grid doesn't look good, there's a big chance you will lost a potential follower. So, if you're interested in this tutorial, keep on reading, but before everything, make sure your profile is set to public.
1. Select your theme
So the first (and the most important step) is to select a theme for your feed. Take some time, go to your favourite Instagram accounts, go to your Tumblr or WeHeartIt account and see your posts and likes. Write down what inspires you. Also, have in mind some very important things: the color of your room and amount of natural light in it, the quality of your camera, and basically what surrounds you.
Here are some sugestions:
Here are some sugestions:
1. Moody theme
- black, gray, white and blue tones
- low exposure, slightly lower contrast, low saturation, high fade
- rain, dark clouds, winter outfits
2. Vintage theme
- works the best with warm tones
- slighty higher fade, slightly higer grain
- old cars, records, retro outfits, vintage items
3. Grunge theme
- black, gray, white and blue tones
- lower exposure, higher contrast, lower saturation; intense black color
- denim jackets, ripped jeans, graffiti
4. Blue theme
- blue and white tones
- low temperature
- easy to maintain; works with anything
5. Pastel theme
- white, yellow, green, blue and pink tones
- slightly higher exposure, slightly lower temperature
- best with the natural light, bedsheets, works with any pastel objects
6. Tropical theme
- warm and vibrant colors, pink, red, orange, green & yellow
- higher contrast, high saturation
- cocktails, sunsets, beach, palm trees
7. Minimal theme
- white and black with touch of some other color (usually brown or gray)
- high contrast, slightly higher saturation
2. Edit your photos
The easiest way to maintain your theme is to use same edit over and over again. If you go to Pinterest and search for 'Instagram theme', you can find so many pre-defined settings for VSCO app. All you have to do is edit one photo, and then copy/paste the edit.
I personally wouldn't recommend you that because every picture is a story for itself and every photo requires time and attention. Even if your photos are similar or in the same style, lighting, background, colors and stuff like that can affect the outcome. Here are some advices:
- Edit your photos individually;
- Stay in the same group of filters (presets) or find those who are similar;
- Play with your photo, try everything and have fun with it;
3. Maintain your theme
This one is easy - do your thing, and follow previous steps.
If you ever get tired of your theme, or you want to try something new, you can simply choose new theme and stick with it. You can insert 3 blank white photos to separate your new theme from your old one, but it's not necessary.
That's it!
I hope you guys liked this tutorial. Here you can find out how to gain new REAL followers in a fast, free and simple way!
